Gina Merritt has over 13 years of experience in real estate development. She has managed over 1,800 units of housing development with a total development cost of over $150 million and underwritten over 150 housing, mixed-use, retail and office transactions valued at over $2 Billion.
Prior to venturing into development for her own company, Ms. Merritt worked for many prestigious development companies, including Neighborhood Development Company, Struever Brothers, Inc, and Clark Realty Capital. During her tenure at these companies, Ms. Merritt lead their development groups in securing financing, structuring deals, and coordinating development teams.
Ms. Merritt’s work experience at highly respected development companies brings a tremendous amount value to the firm, grounded in knowledge at the highest levels negotiation, transaction structuring and development management. This experience and Ms. Merritt’s tenacity has lead to the success of NREUV. Bernard Middleton has a wealth of expertise he is brings to NREUV. He has led efforts in construction management and residential/commercial design for over $400 million in total project costs. Mr. Middleton also led the efforts in obtaining the public approvals for the affirmative action plan approved for Mayfair Mansions and also manages the design and construction issues for Skyland Town Center.
Prior to joining NREUV, Mr. Middleton was an architect by trade, and worked for major companies in the region including Devrouax and Purnell, Centocor Inc, and Booz – Allen & Hamilton.
Mr. Middleton has worked with major architectural firms and brings extensive knowledge from his architecture and business background to NREUV’s projects.
David Davenport brings over 15 years of experience to NREUV in all
the major phases of construction: architecture, construction cost
estimating and project management. He has led efforts in
construction management in over 300 residential units throughout his
construction career.
Prior to joining NREUV, Mr. Davenport was operating his own
company, Parlay Construction, where he evaluated the project
potential at time of acceptance, including review of architectural
drawings, cost estimates, inspected the construction phases per
approved request for payment, managed the cost and project
scheduling, and negotiated the changes to construction contracts and
insurance of quality control.
Mr. Davenport’s extensive knowledge in construction management is a
value added to NREUV
October 2011 – NREUV wins AHP for the Nannie Helen.
September 2011 – NREUV designated asset manager and underwriter for Open Door Housing Fund.
August 2011 – The Nannie helen proceeds towards demolition.
February 2010 – The Beacon Center Receives its Zoning Approval.
January 2010 – NREUV is hired as Development Manager for the 4800 NHB New Communities Project.
